I did the diagnostic check on mw car using pin 1 of the thin under the steering wheel. The results I got were these

AYC - CODE 61 - Stop lamp switch system

ABS - CODE 33 - Steer sensor (st-n) system

Anyone know what this means, also when you do this test does the orange engine light flash continually normally???
I hope you can help I have been dreading whats wrong with my car

all 3 lights (engine, ABS & AYC will flash continuously if there are no errors)

the manual says that both errors are down to the stop lamp switch has been on continuoulsy for 15 mins or more......

maybe a blown brake bulb????

well you say about a blown bulb, I bought some clear led lights for my car!! So the brake light was loads of led's instead of one bulb, but I noticed today the bloody thing has been letting water in and had about an 1 1/2 inches of water sat in it!! And my boot got wet, could this be the problem??

So the two codes its showing are both to do with the rear brake light, is that correct??

it says the brake switch, so if i were you i'd try some new/original bulbs and see how it goes.......

steer sensor is (presumably) the one located at the steeing wheel for the ayc

I have put the standard lights and bulbs back now, not having water sat in my lights!! I thought you said the two codes I gave were both related to the brake lights
when you look at the manual it gives you a few errors, and diagrams to fault find the problem, but the stop lamp problem is shown on both of the errors, so i'd gues thats why you have ABS & AYC faults......

have u disconnected the battery to clear the faults after the new lights to see if the codes come back?
