Ants ,

I wouldn't worry too much about slagging your car,I havn't seen a scoob hit under 14s apart from a P1 which is expected and a severly modded high booster. The scoob in white at Pod didnt get anywhere near 14s ,and backed out against my 4 after the misses and another lass called him a ****.
and no scoob has beaten an evo on the road on a power run that I know of [or admitted to].So fk em .
I never go on scoob net because I drive anEVO.
and If I wanted to visit and debate a car it certainly wouldn't be a scoob ,why not join a porche forum .
No point in talking about what was .

I only went on there, because someone mentioned it on the MLR board, though it would just be a little comment, but they seem to have 4 pages of it.

Tried to get my point across, but I suppose that why they buy Subarus and not Evo's, maybe its their education?

One question - why did you have a go if you weren't going to give it your all? Now you are making excuses - which are justifiable under the circumstances (new car)!

Personally, don't have a go if you can't take the critiscm!

Because of the work done on the car, I thought that with a slower/easier take off it could still go like a rocket, plus I was trying to find out the effect that Tarmac, Gravel and Snow had at startoff.

True, maybe I should not have done it, was still deciding whether to really hammer it, did hammer it once, that was when it just slid all over the startline.

I'm not saying I cannot take critiscm, just trying to get the facts across to Scoobynet

Fair enough - I guess it is time to go across to this Scoobynet thingy and blow 'em out of the water!

hmm, having read all of the thread I think the general consensus is that evo's are good cars and the 7 is actually fast it just must have been driven badly/carefully, what can I say after a bit more practice go back to the board and look what they say about your times :D

don't waste your time with it ;)

Cheers BlueEvo, good comments on their board.

and Dedeffa, car was driven badly and a bit too carefully - I will attempt more runs in the future, be good to get advice from anyone on revs/launch etc.

Ants,

Don't worry, at least you had a go which is more than most people would do in a new machine. The bloke who started the thread has been on this board before saying how his Mark II Escort is better than any Evo, so we can all draw our own conclusions (after we've finished laughing :D).

if i am lucky enough to be asked about my car in relation to a subaru,i start quoting my car as 4wd,200bhp,not bad handling for what it is,quite fast etc etc
Then after its got really boring and predictable i say oh,you mean the Evo !, sorry i thaught you meant the jeep !

Don't worry mate, I know exactly how hard it is to get good times with limited experience when you've only got a couple of runs to do them.

That feeling when you come round the corner and see your car after work is worth 1000 13s slips though, isn't it? :)

Ant dont worry about them they are jealous people who are only let out once in a while and as for their car's, i am a converted evo7 owner who had 2 P1's as the first blew a piston ( could not take the punishment ) and i can say that although the P1 being a good car the 7 pulls it apart in all departments, up to now i have only de-catted it and put on an HKS filter and it feels a good bit quicker than the P1 which was also de-catted.
