I need to cancel my policy with Crowthorne in order to take up a new one shortly with the AA*. When that happens I believe Crowthorne will send me proof of my no-claims-bonus and everything else which I'll need. The problem is that I have a claim from October 2001 whereby the party's fault is still in dispute.

The question I have is does anyone envisage any problem with sorting out the blame for the accident? I mean, Crowthorne will hardly be 'bothered' if I cancel will they? Will it be in my interest to cancel?

*Crowthorne wouldn't include my girlfriend on the policy nor would they give me protected no-claims-bonus.

Bad news I'm affraid - Until the claim is settled in your favor your insurer will want the full 12 months premium, did you have protected no claims bonus?

Call me to discuss if you like
