if you need more leverage, grab the cable end nippple in grips and bend them over a screwdriver or wooden block to produce a lever :)

had to do this on one of my old cars, but get a handle on order :)

nope its broken from the knuckle that is on the actual bonnet release itself, there must be some way to pop the bonnet without taking off the front bumper :shake:

You can see the pulley from underneath the car. Biggle - no there isn't.

I'm afraid the only way you're going to do this is to break something. I'll send you a PM.

shocking. i appreciate its for security, but you would think theres a special tool or similar for it!

glad you got it open mate. i wouldnt drive it if i were you. i did this once after a light front ender in my teen years.

the bonnet came up and kissed the windscreen. the retaining catch had been bent slightly thats all!

if you do have to, keep your speed down and rope the bugger down from the catch to the tow eye ;)

you have PM mate its the advice that was sent to me, just be more carefull than i was, the mesh is bloody sharp and like most little scratches they bleed like hell, anyway found a small leak at the bottom of the power steering container, leak sorted refilled with slick 50 steering fluid and bobs your uncle, the noise i assume was from the power steering pump trying to run with no fluid in it will keep an eye on it once i get bonnet catch sorted, Hmmmm sparco bonnet pins might be the way forward depends how much the cable is gonna cost, funny thing is i cant find the snapped one anywhere under there ?:mhihi:
