Ive had quite a hard time deciding what sort of tyre to get on my E4, have brembos and its lowered so Im restricted by tyre size...otherwise I could just get 888s or A048s which would also suit the occassional trackday.

Anyway went with the Hankook RS2, in 215/40/17 XL so far all I can say is that they are simply awesome ! They arent even scrubed in properly yet but they are much better than what I had.

Also got rid of the black rims and went hyper black.

Sounds good m8 :D

What did you change from?

Have you tried them in the wet and the dry?

If you don't mind, how much did they cost?

Cheers :coolsm:

I had some Falken ZE512s = crap compared to the RS2s.

Used these things both in dry and wet, not bad in the wet but excellent in the dry.

Paid £90 fitted and balanced per corner. I think they are the only street legal trackday tyre available in 215/40/17.

Cool :coolsm:

Avon do ZZ-Rs in that size, but they're £180 or so each  :blah:

I'm using T1-Ss for the road which I really like (£65 each) and have some used Dunlop DO1Js 215/45s on the way to try...

Cheers :)

I thought about 45 series profile but given the height of my car I would have problems with the tyre rubbing arches. As it is with the new RS2s I had to roll the rear arches to reduce the rubbing and raising the car is not really something I want to do.

I also run the R-S2 Hankooks in 215/40/17 on my Evo 2.

Pretty impressed with them so far.
Perform very well both when carving twisty backroads and doing trackdays.

I know what you mean about the limited choice of decent tyres in 215/40/17
