As the other one was growing wildly out of control (and it took so long to get to the bottom) I've started up this one.

Continuation of said thread : Playstation..... I still suck at it :) (how do I know that will provoke a reaction?!) I did manage to complete a circuit without spinning off too badly (In a Honda Civic type R ) but as soon as I switched to an Evo 7, it just seemed to be too twitchy and I struggled to control it. - I don't want any rude comments about that either !!!!!! http://www.lancerregister.com/graphics/laugh1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

Also, with that particular game (GT3) the car in front (rally stage) kicks up loads of dust making it totally impossible for the poor sod behind to see where their going. Hence why I bashed it into trees/walls/spectators/bridges and anything else that happened to be within 300 miles of the bloody car!!!!

Tara,
As far as I can tell, you've got 2 choices.... either

a. Tell Geffers to let you drive the Evo more so that you can get used to the handling and therefore imrpove on GT3 or

b. Play GT3 to start with in something like a mini until you get the hang of it and then slowly work your way up to the Evo

I know which one I think you'd choose and I know which one geffers will choose and somehow I can't see them being the same :)

Simon - honestly, picking on a woman, thats awful :)

Andy - I think you're right! I don't care anymore..... dunno why? maybe cos I am busy and have 1,000,000 other issues to deal with. I am just grateful that I have driven it, and I am lucky enough to go in it all the time. It is trivial at the end of..... my time will come, and until then I'll wait ;)
I have a major disadvantage to you guys tho..... my age, and I just can't do anything about that, however much I throw a temper tantrum (oh, and I have!!) it's not something I can do a smidge about.

Somehow, I think that my real driving can never be as terrible as my GT3 driving!! Thank god :)

Andy - It is not as easy as just telling him to let me....

Typical converstaion:

Let me drive the EVO - me
No - Him

see, it has nowhere to go..... I could try tears/you don't love me/pleeeaaassseee and amp;lt;eye flutter and amp;gt; etc... It doesn't work :) DOES IT HONEY??????!!!!!!! :) :)

i would try the stockings and suspenders route (men are simple creatures)...:):):)

i completed the tumble dryer, air intake tonight (thanks for all the help andy, i take it all back about you driving like a girl :)), its great, it may be a mental thing but the pull low down is much smoother.

as for GT3 i am utter crap, i have only got all my cars through cheating with a cover disk with unlimited money.

Lee,
Glad to be of help. It's only fair that I help you to try and catch up with me (oh not, not this arguement again http://www.lancerregister.com/graphics/laugh1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >)
If you need any help with GT3 then let me know as well and I can get you a copy of my save game so that you can prove to yourself that the tuned Evo VI RS is quicker than the TME....

Yes, I would try the stockings route. It has always worked for me in the past. Lee bought me all sorts of things when I wore them, and I'm sure I could have driven his evo if I had wanted to. Are you guys going to Santa Pod in October ? I will be going, it would be nice to see you lot there.

p.s what have you been fitting to your car Lee ? Not long for the ecu upgrade now m8, you will have to give us a call when its fitted.

No, I still don't think that even Stockings and amp; Suspenders will convince rational partner to hand over keys of high performance vehicle that he loves...... although could have lots of fun finding out...... ;)

What I am trying to say is that I don't believe ANYTHING will work, his argument and amp;lt;currently and amp;gt; is stronger than my feeble but I want to so he wins and amp;lt;This time and amp;gt;

On a completely different note: Did anyone see Smack the pony last night, funny, had a little sketch on women drivers, made it look like a console game. Very amusing... they had a player called Turbo Tara..... thats me that is!!!

andy: you poor sad diluded man, come to santa pod, me a daz will show you the power of the tme (it is like luke sitting in his x-wing, feeling the force), i noticed you say a tuned RS will out pace the TME, well that counts you out, no mods charlie.
did you get any temperature readings from the intake??

daz: i presume you are talking about the pod meet on the 13th, i am penciled in with the wife for a pass so it is looking good at the moment, i know simon is going up (probably with a load of gtir's), and probably baljeet can be persuaded (and barry/geffers (and tara i surpose :))???). i have fitted the mark burr inspired tumble dryer intake system have a look at: http://www.evo-6.co.uk for the low down or andy has posted some better pics in the yahoogroups section (if you have access).

tara: i must disagree with the stockings arguement, i would quite gladly hand the keys over to the wife for a full on underwear session ;)

Lee - ok then she's a very lucky wife..... I am not however, my argument is but I realllllllllyyyyy want to drive it his case is but you are 23 and the Insurance premium will be cata**** however you spell it?! :) So, who wins in that circumstance?! - well I can safely say It ain't moi.

The only way I win is :
(a) He has a temporary loss of all rational thought and hands over the keys
(b) I leave him so happy after aforementioned stocking session that he doesn't notice himself handing me keys
(c) Insurance premiums for 23 yr olds suddenly plummet to reasonable levels
(d) He decides he wants to give me Evo driving tuition and lets me drive
(e) I win large amount of cash and buy my bloody own!

********, just had the garage on the phone my car isnt being upgraded to the 15th now (i am very depressed), i am still up for santa pod, but wont be doing any runs, as the con-rod bolts are being done at the service.

still give me a week to have it all done before the box hill meet though, so you dont get off that easy andy ;)

I'm not sure my TME would come even close to you guys cars now, I'm so behind in the modding stakes its un-real ! I would stand a chance of winning the cleanest most polished car competion though. Tara - I would do ANYTHING for a under-wear session, I think I'm a bigger pervy than my mate Lee. The inlet mod looks good chaps, but what's next ? A hoover bag in the airbox to act as a filter praps ;)

daz you will still give andy a run for his money he has only done 1 mod and that is to put a muppet in the drivers seat :). as for the next mod i am thinking mini fridge in the glove box to keep my pies chilled....

as for the cleanest you would win i have never known anyone to take there wheels of the clean them, mine look like they have been on a bonfire for the last 2 weeks....

shorty: welcome, it is alway nice to have new members in the talking ******** thread, as you can tell tara talks the most and we all do as we are told :), as the the vibrate mode, hmmmm very nice.

Lee, where do I start....
So you're not going to do any runs at Santa Pod because your standard TME is too slow (sorry, you don't want to run it without the mods first.... I get confused)
Yes, I've got quite interesting results from the intake temp sensor but you can bugger off if you think I'm letting you know them now. http://www.lancerregister.com/graphics/tonguewink1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

As for the mini fridge, I think that it would have to be a bit bigger for your supply of pies (ooohh, getting personal now, really bitchy)

I look forward to the Boxhill run now as it'll be fun proving that even with just the air intake mod, I can still keep up with you.

I have to agree that having seen his car at Billing, Daz would win any cleaning competition without doubt. I think that his car is about 4 inches longer and 3 inches wider than a standard TME because of the amount of wax that has been applied :)

Daz - did you say ANYTHING ?????? ;)

Lee - Are you scared of me? hehehe I promise I won't bite and amp;lt;! and amp;gt; oh, and I am glad you know who talks the most around here....

Shorty - what sort of glasses are you speaking of? I am stumped on this one?! and why else do you think us ladies agree to play playstation!!!! :)

bloody gutted i cant do the run at santa pod but i dont want to risk my engine just yet, the garage said i shouldnt realy be running with the exhaust/induction kit without the bolts, but dont worry i will be able to show you what your car realy is capable of at box hill :)

as for the fridge, i am thinking of getting one of the U-Haul trailers from the states to carry my pies, but i will leave some room for your mushy peas if you like (and i will still be quicker than you with a tow bar pulling that (in fact has the rsx got a tow bar to go with its arial)).

what was the tempreture results?? good news??

as for daz is he a wrong-un or what, dont trust people with clean wheels, its like have a clean desk, not enough to do :). better let him know boxhill isnt a show and shine event or he will be there with his polishing cloth (oo erh).

Tara: if you turn up in your stockings/glasses at boxhill i reckon both daz and shorty will let you drive thiers....:)
