Rose has just got in with the Mak and said it smelt a bit of fuel when she left work, but that she had filled it right to the top and only done 4 miles, so we thought nothing of it, till now when she went to put it in the garage for the night, again an overwhelming smell of fumes inside the car so strong I smelt it yards away :confused: It smells inside the boot yet there are no traces of fuel anywhere :confused:

Roses car park is on a slope so the full tank, slope, black car and the sun are to blame I guess, anyone else any ideas or known horror stories, faults :confused:

It's a standard Mak apart from Zorst and de-cat and forge actuator :confused:

Thanks

check:
* for any leaks under rear seat where tank is located
* lambda sensor
- car may be running rich if it requires attention
...hence the smell/fumes

also....try undoing the fuel cap to release any pressure & see if it's still there afterwards....
just wonder whether any breathers are blocked ?
