Hey there All,

What benefit (if any) is there to adding a high flow/pressure fuel pump - I currently have no problems with the performance, however thought that it might be nice to have a little worse fuel economy and more flames http://www.ltregister.f9.co.uk/graphics/biggrin1.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| absmiddle >

Cheers

The standard fuel pump losse some efficiency when getting too old.
Anyway if you have an upgraded one you will notice no difference as it will just be able to deliver more fuel when the engine need that, but if you have only slight modifications the standard pump is just fine,if in good conditions.

I have the power engineering fuel pump fitted as mine was giving only 84liters per hour and I've been told that it should give more than 100 liters per hour, and as it had to be changed I bought an upgraded one,it's always better!!!

Might be necessary if you raise boost above about 15 psi. That's what happened with my Evo I anyway.
