This is the mutha ***** that has been making my Evo driving a misery over the last few months !!!

Yup...the good old wastegate actuator. Can't really see in the rubbish pic...but it is well rusted. Had a new one fitted today....and all sorted !!!

...Just a standard Mitsubishi part. Seems to have resolved the problem !

I've heard people recommend the E7/8 actuator as a slightly more robust replacement (it's allegedly less prone to water ingress or something). Having said that, the new standard part should last at least as long as the old one so a good couple of years yet

I think mine was replaced with an E7/8 one, although to be honest as long as it does its job I'm not fussed one way or the other
