Over the last week my front nearside wheel has been making a light grinding noise. It sounds just like you are rubbing 2 brake discs together!

It only happens when I am turning to the right. The more lock, the louder the sound. The sound is constant all the time the car is turning - it does not pulsate.

Also, the sound gets louder the more the suspension compresses. So if you turn sharply, or you are applying power whilst turning right, you get the sound.

I have looked in the FAQ and searched like I always do first, and it doesn't seem to match the symptoms of the input shaft bearing problems, nor the front diff bolts.

The only thing I can think is wheel bearing?

Please help!

Thanks Lee, I really hope so, because then I can fit it myself and not lose the car for a few days.

Any differing opinions?
