An excellent article DaveDaveG said:The article concentrated on comparing 2 official 'production' models as it would be never ending if you start throwing modded cars into the mix.
Out of interest we also did the same tests with my car which is quite similar in spec to the FQ400. i.e. same engine pretty much as the FQ400, but standard BB turbo. My car also runs very similar BHP to the FQ400 as well, but has a lot more torque.
I'll post the Datron graph when I can, I'm away at the moment. The advantage it pulled out over the FQ400 was about 2 secs or 80 metres in the 40-120mph test.
Now that would be interesting :coolsm:Fatman said:An excellent article Dave
Some real technical comparisons here
I love graphs, they give a more informed view
In the future dave do you see Datron days supperceeding RR days?

well said pal they should have tested my car now with 6k miles on it and a decatGlobalGB said:The only downside of the comparison was the fact that the MR FQ340 had a minor mod called 'the decat'. Believe me, this made a hell of a difference to the spool up of the MR FQ340 before and after once installed.
Invalid comparison I'm afraid.![]()

I reckon some of us should club together for a Datron and the hire it out for members to use either individually or for meets. How much are they ?
James.
So...just buy a FQ340 & stick a £50 de-cat on it!GlobalGB said:The only downside of the comparison was the fact that the MR FQ340 had a minor mod called 'the decat'. Believe me, this made a hell of a difference to the spool up of the MR FQ340 before and after once installed.
