I spent quite a bit of time and a few quid trying the same thing with the evo X mirrors, common failure was the actual motor, but couldnt find anywhere to get a suitable replacement. I found the originals, special order for :Mitsi: The same could be bought separately, but min order of something like 10,000. Tried a few other 12v motors that looked identical, but different specs, non worked sufficiently well....Gave up
