Pretty much at the 4 year anniversary of the project now .... it's taking much longer than first anticipated, but really happy with what's been done so far .

Anyway time for a update ...

One of the hold ups has been making up the fuel tank pipes , these pipes are actually part of the fuel tank assembly and can't be bought separately.... wish I'd known that when I cut them off

Flaring tool sourced , some very patient pipe bending and job done .

Tank just prior to fitting .... will get some underside photos later on in the project.

With garage space tight in my friends workshop it was time to move the car back home.

Once home I've had a bit of weekend time to start refitting the the interior, either fitting throughly cleaned or refurbished parts.

New handbrake cables and grommets fitted before the carpet goes in.

Doors all cleaned up and new door films fitted .

Door cards back on.

Cleaned up and sprayed the seat rails.

Taking shape now with seats going in.

Got all new consoles and lots of new interior parts to fit when the passenger seat fitted , harder to fit once seats in but don't want to risk scratching anything with the seat rails whilst wrestling with the seats !

Got a steering wheel upgrade happening too ! Massive thanks to a fellow member for sourcing this for me

Had a couple of trips to drop off and pick up engine components to Dave Cee , what a job this man does ... amazing!

Some of the components he's already done for me.

Just one before and after ... enough to show how good he is ...

Hopefully further updates soon !!

Carried on with the interior today ... lots of nice new bits to fit !! Wasn't a lot wrong with the existing consoles and trims but a few scratches let them down a bit .

Various new parts ...

Haven't fitted the steering wheel yet ... that will be last thing done .. to avoid dirty hands

Sent the seat nuts and bolts off to Dave Cee for plating properly , photo for comparison... the one on the right is new straight out of the packet ... full of scratches ... Dave's is rather better I think

Go nicely with the refurbed satin black seat rails...

Both seats and parts all fitted ...

Couldn't resist a trial fitting of the carbon fibre scuff plates purchased from carbon goodies a few years ago .. perfect fit !

Interior got a nice freshen up with the breeze today ... stank of polish and cleaning products

Small bit of progress made over the past couple of weekends ...

Dropped the front subframe off so I could fit the front anti roll bar and drop links ...

ABS sensors and brake hoses fitted ...

New rear splash guards fitted ...

Lots of new bits arrived ready for the Easter weekend... hopefully !

Door seals , window trims , roof gutter trims , scuff plates , new rear wiper arm and engine splash guards ...
