Well, after five weeks of telephone calls, letters and faxes between myself, the dealer and red zebra warranty company, my Evo 6 was returned last night after it's somewhat mysterious big end failure

I'm told that it was caused by a loss of oil supply leading to 3rd and 4th shells spinning.

Red Zebra warranty wouldn't pay out so the dealer, Swansea Mitsubishi, footed the bill. They also repainted my front bumper FOC to get rid of the winter's stone chips and my next service is also FOC.

Now all I've got to do is run it in

......it's SOOOO difficult to stay below 3.5k

BUT.....at least I got it back

i remember running my sti in and trying to do one of the mid wales runs, pain in the arse that was, still want to get rid of it or happy its back ?

Despite feeling pretty negative about the car over the last few weeks, I am happy to have it back.

Looks very nice now with all the stone chips and scuffs gone off the front bumper

Just lookin forward to being able to "DRIVE" it after the running in
