car is stationary with engine running ... when I turn the steering lefrt or right the revs drop ever so slightly ???

any ideas

The ecu will jack up the idle to compensate for the power stearing if the idle speed control motor is set correctly?

yeah its because the needs some power to drive the steering and that is taken from the engine, air con also does it when you switch it on and off.

Well thats wot the isc motors for to jack up the idle when working the p/s?
Its very basic,hope this does'nt get to complicated.

Have seen that problem on a friend's Galant VR-4. The revs drop noticeably when turning the wheel left and right. Not sure what my garage did to fix it, but it was definitely power steering related. Fairly straightforward remedy I think.

At least its not another new malady that seems to afflict only Evo's! (warping, driveshaft bearings, etc!)
