I have a VII GTA and the previous owner has removed the roof aerial and put an internal aerial in the car (under the roof lining at the rear windscreen) and the signal is rubbish, can anyone confirm if I need an aerial booster and where it should be fitted, and where I can get the aerial base and stalk for? Think misti want about £200 for the lot:eek::help:

reception is generally not very good even with external aerial on most evos. :(

The booster can be fitted between the aerial plug and the car stereo (check at halfors). It is unlikely that the guy who did the conversion did not add a booster to the system.

The original fitment had an antenna amplifier immediately behind the Radio I believe. If you extract the radio see if that's still in place (the coax from the radio should route to it) and also wired in properly as it has to be given a switched 12v feed which isn't always in place if someone has done this themselves.
