Reading this months Evo mag and the long term MR340 has had a new set of tyres. Changing them to 225/ 35 on a 17" rim.

Having a 'little' understanding of the way the AYC operates, surely this will give greater rotation, indicating a greater speed than actually going (not a lot I know), but will this not affect the way the AYC operates? Turn into a corner, sensing a certain G load with the speed greater than it is.

Or am I being stooopid?? I though you had to maintain as close as possible to the design rolling diameter.
ie going from 17 to 18's the profile would go from 45 to 40, but changing the profile without the wheel diameter

They already crashed it with the correct tyres, so i guess there is no more chance of them crashing it with the incorrect ones!
I will watch developments with interest :D

If you remember last time they ran an EVO (VI) when it was Performance Car, (before rebirth) the driver managed to get banned.
