All it needs is a model report and the SVA conversion, sounds like a load of tosh to me. Model report will cost about 3K for the emission and noise tests (assuming they pass first time, they will require a few 'tweaks' prior to the emission test) and then the necessary SVA work.

I have heard this from 2 very reliable sources.....???.....

RS might be near imposible to get but for a different reason to what you mention.

I was told that there are only 200 being built and the are alocated to the Jap domestic market only where they are planning a 1 make race championship.

Then as Global points out you would need to do a 3k RS specific model report as far as I know only the GT and GSR are being done by anyone in the UK

The GT is going to be the homoligated version of the IX so that will be the model all the rally teams will want. The "improvements" to the GT over RS spec are exactly what most people would do to their RS for road and trackday use anyway so the RS has somehow lost it's point as far as the IX is concerned.

hi there i have a new evo 9 rs on way from japan right now, but need to lay me hands on a model report anyone know how i go about getting one of them?

There is no report for an RS at this time.

If you have bought one, the best thing you can do is pay through the nose for ESVA and then pay just a smidge extra to create a model report, you may then get some of your money back by renting it out to other prospective owners.

The E9 MR RS is limited to a run of 300 worldwide if i am not wrong.

I got one taking delivery in Feb 07.
