Potentially a good buy for someone?

Needs a little TLC and some OE wheels but maybe a good buy for someone?

been on a few sites now

never seen it but doesnt inspire confidence
A brief check on here and it doesn't look to of been in an accident (reported).

It also has pretty low mileage, so apart from the hideous wheels maybe a hidden fault or problem? Report shows no mechanical damage but not sure I'd put total faith in the AA.

Depending on auction price, may still hold some value for someone :smthumbup

how does a car like this end up in an auction ,surly its got a nailed on value where it would sell privately
I often wondered as there are some extremely nice cars that go through the BCA auctions. With close to delivery mileage on some. I think some could be repossession, some that can't sell that particular model on there four court maybe?

A friend of the family had a civic 2.2 on finance and there was a clause that he could hand the car back to them with no fine, that ended up at a BCA centre.

There are a couple of X's also.

I think you'd need to look over it thoroughly before bidding and even then there could possibly be a chance of a hidden problem. As another member pointed out, wouldn't surprise me if it's up for sale at end of next month for £20,000+.

It's been for sale at a garage for 20k for ages

Then was for sale privately for 18 or 19k a few months later

Then at a garage again for 20k but that could of been an arrangement

Now at BCA, could of been traded or WBAC if it's the latter then I have seen their inspection amd it doesn't inspire confidence

No idea how BCA grading works if 1 or 5 is good, but like you even the AA inspection that BCA gave the car not sure I'd trust it completely.

Wonder what, if any the problem is with the car. As even the lesser desirable silver should demand a good price with such low mileage.

i got a look at this last week.

improbable mileage , with an identity crisis.

100% an import shell , its an Evo 9 made to look like a MR FQ 360 . clocks , center console , seats etc changed.

Very Very worn inside for 30000 miles :shake:

The center gauges dont work or lightup , (not connected) I like to call this kind of vehicle a bitsa. bits of this and bits of that :smthumbup

This explains why it's been up for sale for so long and had a few owners in a short period of time.

Thanks for the feedback, that will sure help MLR members and for future reference. :smthumbup:smthumbup

That doesn't really make any sense, you saying no UK (all import) wouldn't have been under sealed via a third party / specialist.

Also that picture is a blue not silver IX?

What number was the plate/plaque inside the car?

ill find out when its back open ,

you can just tell that CCC never put underseal on it. after working in a bodyshop for 16 years you can just notice sad things like that . ( big dave with his halfrods paintbrush did it )

that was an original blue 6 , changed to look like a 5. came into the work ,

Yes but what I'm saying is that a lot would of been under sealed more recently via a third party. In fact I've seen threads when people apply some sort of under seal every 12 months. So a car that is 9 years old, chances are it has had a more recent under seal.
