Hi, I recently bought an evo ix and when I picked it up from the dealer I noticed it won't stay started when cold.

It'll start but instantly stalls unless you keep the foot on the throttle for a min or two till it warms up a little then it'll run/idle fine.

Cars running a motec m800 ecu mapped by Dave Rowe and after talks with the engine builder from a few years back he tells me there was no cold start issues when the car was built/mapped to this spec.

So I tried a coolant temp sensor as they ain't overly expensive and made no difference.

What else should I look at/for?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Take it to someone to have a look at the icv tables in the motec, now being winter time the car may have been set up in summer as an example, just to verify it's the cells for the temp vs icv steps are correct.

Cars immobile at the moment but I'm led to believe Dave Rowe will most likely of password protected the map on the ecu so I can't look at the tables. (I haven't tried yet)
