Hey..

Please excuse me if this has been covered a million times before but im just after a couple of bits of info.

A mate of mine has an EVO IV and has asked me to fit his AVCR into it as i have done a few in the past. However, All the ones I have fitted have been on Nissans and lookin around under the bonnet of the EVO, obviously things are a little different compared to the GTIR..

So.. first question.. I have noticed that where the standard boost solanoid runs down the the wastegate actuator, the vacume pipe splits into two :eek: One side runs onto the actuator and the other looks like it heads off into the turbo housing. So do i need this pipe that runs into the turbo housing or can i just block it off and run the new vac hose from the AVCR solanoid straight onto the actuator.???

Just as a point, How much boost does a standard evo IV run at.??

standard is about 0.9 bar.

to hook up the solenoid, remove all the orignal piping, run a new pipe from the turbo outlet nipple to the in port on solenoid, then out of solenoid down to actuator.

dont run more than a max of about 1.2 bar on a standard E4 ;)
