Congleton cheshire. . 👍🏼
Thanks for that il call him tomorrow 👍👊
I spoke to Gaz last year and he had so many cars booked in that he couldnt give me a date. and by his own reckoning it would be a few years!!
I was gutted as I know he is regarded as the best, but there are others that do this, too, but prices seem to vary.......

Depends how for you want to go... My resto.. (link in my sig) was about 10k and labour all done by me (as when building up, refurbing parts and fitting new parts all adds up)... You don't want fo fit rusty crusty crap back onto a fresh underside. Hence the cost spirals. Tell gaz cpp I sent you. (Phil lloyd.) 👍🏼

The thing is, its such a labour intensive job to do, and there are not that many trustworthy people to do it, that its hard to get a “one size fits all” price, as all cars will have different levels of rust to deal with or underseal to remove, which is a horrible job to do.
Autotorque gave me a detailed break down of all that they would do, and how much each step would cost, after i sent them pictures of the car.
In hindsight i should have gotten it done at 20k, as thats a bargain compared to your quote!!
Saying that, my car is in pretty good condition underneath, but would need the black under seal removing.I just wanted the car to be bulletproof as i plan keeping it indefinitely.
In my mind, i was thinking the cost of a full restoration and respray would have been around the 15 mark....but maybe not.

Pictures can be deceiving as you say black underseal, and they dont know what lies underneath... kinda like quoting to fit a kitchen or build a house over the phone, very hard to price correctly without seing in person and having a good poke lol

Id say they price on the higher side * just incase
RG Motorsport 👍
Think Rich has a waiting list as well from what he told me, but could be wrong. Always worth a try mind :)

Depends where you’re located. Try Bespoke Automotive Uk. Class work and not overly expensive

I know mine was clean before it was undersealed as i saw pictures of it before it got done, but they did say they would prefer to see it, which is understandable.
Hi guys just replying to each and every one of you who committed i gently understand where people are coming from yes I've got a very high standard due to my background working in the automotive from were i have been working....however due to not having the time to do my car I thought what people would charge but quoting £30,000 pound is quite a lot of money which you could buy another Evo to a certain degree for that money 💰 I know it's going to be a very big labor job so I think I must get my overalls on and my goggles and do it myself in the winter 👊🤣

If you have the time, space and know how that is the best thing to do to save yourself a small(or in some cases, a large!) fortune.
Good luck with it....oh, and if you can be bothered, document it and start a thread on here, as there are a lot of people, me included, who really enjoy restoration threads(y)
