Hi guys any help on this would be much appreciated

Occasionally when driving normally my evo just drops all revs and dies, it tends to be when in second and dipping the clutch for a sharp turn etc. it's becoming more frequent now and would rather not have the person behind up my arse :rotz:

Thanks,
Andy

I personally haven't changed it but has been doing it since I bought it, just been getting a lot more common recently, and yes it does dump/vent out.

However it only stalls when at slow speeds off boost

I had the same problem on mine when I swapped to a Turbosmart VTA even though it was a re-circ valve.

Do you know what make it is? Is it a re-circ as well as VTA, or pure VTA?

It'll probably be the dump valve as said. Mine did the same with Forge RS vta valve.

The MAF meters in the air, which the car fuels for; so the ecu sees air in, then your vta chucks it out, car adds fuel, therefore mixture is way too rich and the car stalls. Unless you're sunning speed density you're better off with a recirculating valve.

Soon as I changed to a re-circ configuration the problem went away immediately and car drives loads better.
