Ok, my banana yellow 260 will be on it's way to Fife Mitsi within the next couple of weeks. What I need to start planning is the 'must have' extras! Basically, sensible things that are best to get dealer fitted before I collect the car. I know there will be plenty of things to add at a later date once I suss out what's what, but all I'm looking for is advice from folks as to what they wish they'd had fitted and what they're glad they had fitted etc..... ;)

(oh, and the one definate is to get rid of the :gay: spoiler!!)

I'd like to get rid of the standard silver Enkie's and fit a set of something anthracite or black - I'd be happy with a straight swap on size etc so the std. tyres would do to keep the costs down.

I did go for the leather/alcantara two tone trim (blue and black to compliment the blue exterior), that lifts an otherwise pretty unforgettable interior.

The standard stereo setup is fiddly to use and I didn't like the swivel down front panel, a bit chav for my taste so I've fitted a marginally less hav Clarion unit, speakers would be next - but the audio is probably better done at a specialist?

Mats - foc ideally!

Still have the :gay: spoiler, like that it's a bit more subtle but dislike it's lack of full-fat Evo look.

Having had the dealer fit a cat-back system and main cat removed it unleashes the breathing and it runs a lot closer to what I think an Evo should do, it pull's well right up to the red line now. Not much power wise I suspect the dealer can offer on the 260's though, maybe panel filter as well.

Enjoy whatever you end up adding.

When u picking it up?

Cheers for that! You've pretty much highlighted all the things I've been thinking of!! The alloys I'm planning on getting powder coated anthracite! The interior I was planning on getting a full black/yellow re-trim at a later date as I can get it done elsewhere for less than the dealer is quoting.

My mate is the manager for a ICE install place in Aberdeen, so I'll be paying him a visit at some point.

I want to get full window tints, but again, I 'know a man who can' at less than the dealer charges!

Mainly the exhaust and induction kit were what I was thinking about, but I can't find the bit of paper that I wrote the prices on! It's either that or I wait til I've had the car a couple of months, then when I get the exhaust etc. fitted, I can appreciate more what I'm spending my cash on!!

Oh, and I'm picking it up as soon as I can get my mini sold :jump

My mates family own Fife Mitsi. When you go to the service/Parts desk ask for a chap called Alan. Hopefully he will give you a good deal.

Nice guy, lost tuch a while ago though

I received an e-mail from Mitsubushi this morning with regard to an enquiry i made about exhaust upgrades etc. They replied stating that a review of 260 "accessories" was almost complete and they hoped to release warrantied dealer option upgrades within 2 weeks.
I'm having my big spoiler fitted next Monday the 18th. £288 not inc spraying and fitting.

I was quoted £750 for the spoiler to be fitted! So I think I'm going to buy the spoiler and get it sprayed and fitted elsewhere!! ;) :p I've got a feeling the exhaust was £450ish and the induction £325ish, will look for elusive piece of paper tonight!! :D

Dont forget the all important pics when it arrives Jules.

May be a good idea to get a Tracker fitted before picking it up, unless this is included in the deal.

Doubt there will be a tracker fitted, but it's a must have seeing as I can't seem to find many insurance companies that are happy to insure it without one!!

Don't worry, there will be plenty of pics!!

Oh, and I'm adding mud flaps to my list, try and reduce some muck and stones flying up everywhere! Some of us have the joys of A and B roads just to get to work!!

Julz will we be seeing a yellow VIII on the cover of f&m soon
 You'll have to ask Fraz about that!! :p

As for the spoiler, to me the evo doesn't look right without the monster one! I don't think it'll make to much difference to the police, the car will be yellow after all, hardly subtle!! ;) They'll be more concerned at the fact that there appears to be no driver cause I'm so ickle I need a booster cushion!  (are they on the options list! )
