Hi all,
I have standard OE Evo 6 suspension all round.
I am looking at Ohlins and Billsteins but for now I am wondering apart from the above if you know any recommendations / prices for other after market shocks.
I think I need to replace the front two only.
Looking at fast road to lessen bumps with no track days.
Ps What is best price and where if I just go 2 standard shocks?
Cheers,
Robby

Unless you replace the fronts for OEM to match the existing OEM rears I don't see the point in 'upgrading' just fronts. I've never heard of anyone mixing and matching. Only with big brakes on the front and standard on the rear (another thread)

There is a Group Buy at the moment from Indigo GT on KW suspension

If you are going to replace standard damper, then it is fine.
But if you are upgrading, then you want a match set all around.

You don't want to have a set of front that are designed to run with different rear.
Because that will create some unpredictable vehicle dynamics that could potentially be dangerous.

Thank you for replies so far. My situation to be resolved is one Shock absorber possibly reason for knock on NS front. If it proves to be from standard OEM shock I was looking to replace both in this case. I have read about after market shocks for fast road to dampen the bumps and wonder your opinions. I will heed advice not to add Billy's or Ohlins to front only. If finance allows would love to upgrade all four. Any other thoughts or suggestions grateful.

Decent Suspension will be 拢1500-拢2500 to be better or equivalent to the OEM. The OEM will be about a grand to replace new anyway and is already suitable for 'fast road'.

The KW group deal with Indigo highlighted sounds a good offer...
Yes it is mate, and they will fit it and set it up if you take the car to them as well if you ask them.

At least you are not falling into the trap of "any coilies for 拢700 are gonna be great innit" I'm joking of course.

I'd be looking at the KW GB or Ohlins, etc if I were in the market for replacing my OEM.

No probs - remember that the tyres are part of the suspension too  My car runs OEM suspension and OEM tyre and wheel size (45 side walls). A lot of people go for bigger rims with less sidewall and then wonder why you can now feel all the bumps. Don't go too stiff on the road as I am sure you are aware. My car handles better than just about anything else I have driven on the road. OK it's not going to be as good as something like a sorted Porsche on a track but I can live with a bit of body roll in an extreme situation. Your specialist can advise.

Looking next to KW's V3 to replace standard, I am really looking forward to the upgrade from all that I have read so far. Any one with an Evo 6 who would like to share the best fast road set up found with their new KW's?

Anyone here on 235/40 R18 tyres could explain the ride difference with oem suspension over the standard 225/45 R17 tyres (on an Evo 6 of course)?
