Hi guys !
Just bought my dream car a couple of months ago but its becoming a headache
Anyway I have problem with the car vibrating badly in 5th gear only under acceleration ( driving on highway doing 80kmh ~ 100kmh )
Any idea what could be the problem ?

5 speed gearbox?

I had similar issue years ago with my Evo V:
it was the 5th gear which is coming loose from the shaft if I remember correctly.

Normally you can find some information via the search
(not always quick, but this issue sound familiar)

5th gear judder

So yesterday I noticed a problem when in 5th gear, when at 4K in 5th there's a violent juddering is the only way I can think to describe it seeming to come from the middle of the car? Every other gear is fine and it only happens on half throttle, when WOT there's no problem at all. Not been able...

Input shaft spline worn where 5th gear sits, very common problem on E5-7.

Requires a new, later E9 input shaft and longer spline E9 5th.
