Was happily cruising round town and as I came out of a rounda bout I noticed serious lack of power and realized the boost was gone, I've got a hks blow off valve and normally can hear it and now it is silent, so ive checked all the lines and found a slightly leakey itercooler pipe which ha perished under a clip, was quite loose so it chopped it and reclamped it....apart for
That everything look fine, if I rev it up the b/o makes a short sharp noise so I seems I'm losing some boost - so its leaking somewhere I can hear it blowing as drive along hissing along with rev build up

Question is what should I do next, thing maybe waste after is stuck open??? How can I check this??? Any other idears of what to don next would be great

Thanks chaps

Right so far I've checked all the piPes and they all look ok,
When I'm driving the turbo sounds like its working ok, I can hear it hissing as I'm driving which get louder and the revs build up.... So I'm assuming it jus t loosing the boost rather then the turbo is damaged......

Done the flash code diag by shorting pin 1 and 4 on the diag port
Engine light is constant flash so is the abs light
AYC light flashes code 41
Cleared codes and test drove.....code 41 immediately returned

Was going to remove the HKS SUPER SQL BOV.....stock valve has been removed and i don't have it....guessing the system will need it or wouldnt be able to dump???

So I'm not sure what to do next....

Any advice on how to proceed would be
Greatly appreciated

Thanks
James

take the hks bov off and blank that end off as well alot of people have mixed comments on running a bov or the stock valve ect ect but will be fine just to see if its the hks valve :smthumbup my e7 engine runs like this been like this since the engine was fitted into the car and no problems what so ever

Took the BOV off an sealed the pipe off and sealed the smaller pipe - still no boost

Gonna try the diesel start spray test tomorrow. By diesel start spray do you mean easy start? Basically ether in a spray can?

Cheers

Bump still haven't solved this, mainly due lack of funds
Recently a tucking noise has started - think its lifters at fault
Could these issues be related? Also if anyone who can come look and find the source of this boost leak for me and I'll bung ya some cash for the trouble, around te stevenage in hertfordshire area as I can't afford to take it to the main dealer again still sulking about paying £800 for 45,000 miles service and timing belt change last year

Last moan SOME **** VANDALISED MY EVO FEW NIGHT BACK DENTED MY ROOF IN PUT SEVRAL DENTS IN VARIOUS PANELS WITH A STICK - SO KEEP AND EYE ON YA MOTORS GUYS AS FELT LIKE CRYING WHEN I DISCOVERED MY SMASHED UP MOTOR - TO THE CULPRIT - HOW SAD JEALOUS, SO U TRY RUIN WHAT U CAN'T HAVE - TRY GETTING A JOB

take it to a garage and have a boost leak test done and that should tell you the turbo issue

noisy lifters wont affect boosting
