668 BHP EVO 6 | eBay
1999 Mitsubishi Evo 6
UK car imported from brand new
The vehicle has covered 41000 miles
The engine has covered 1100 miles
After 13 years of ownership I have decided to let my pride and joy move on to someone who has more time to drive it than I do.
This isn’t your usual EVO 6 commonly found for sale , this is a very special car which has had some serious money and time spent on it. The majority of the work has been completed myself and is done to a very high standard.
There are very few items on the car that haven't been stripped, cleaned, replaced or upgraded. The underside of the vehicle is in excellent condition , there is zero rust so you have no worries about the usual rot problems. I can’t account for the years prior to my ownership but for the last 13 years it has lived in a dry garage and only seen rain once ( on the way home from a mapping session ). If the sun isn’t shining, it doesn’t come out.
This EVO has been designed as a fast road / track car and everything thats been added is like brand new ( around 1000 miles ).
Currently running at a healthy 668 BHP @ ONLY 1.4 BAR of boost which is a testament to the engine build and components used throughout the build as every component forms part of the puzzle so to speak. Torque levels have been kept moderately low (525 ft Ibs) on purpose as this is generally what breaks things and to me reliability is key.
The engine has been specced by myself and built by Ash @ Ashley engines , bored and stroked to 2.3L with a very lengthly list of head work done which is how we have achieved 668 HP on pump fuel with only 1.4 bar of boost.
Mapped for shell V-power petrol and Water/Methanol (50/50) mix , this gets sprayed into the intake when your above 1 bar of boost and has a safety boost cut in the event you ever run out which would be very difficult with that big tank in the boot.
The AEM engine management has inputs wired for Launch control, Anti Lag, High boost and traction control should you wish to use these in the future however I have too much mechanical sympathy to use them, I’ve stripped and built this car personally so I take great care in priming, warming / cooling the oil the correct way and as much as id enjoy doing it , i’d never dream of launching the car.
The car drives perfectly throughout all rev ranges, very smooth, quiet and easy to drive however with a little tickle of the throttle , the turbo spools up and it takes off like a rocket then you have to hold on and get sucked into a time warp.
Service history & paperwork: 2 keys , fobs ,V5, history is irrelevant really only having covered 1100 miles , I have done 2 x Millers running in oil changes and currently is running Millers CFS 10w40 oil
I could talk for hours about this car but I want to keep this advert short and sweet however feel free to send me a message with any questions you may have,

So as you can see i’ve spent lots of time and money preparing this car with the right parts, if you wanted to buy all of those parts you would be looking at circa £60,000 thats not including any labour.
I’v seen the price of these cars dramatically rise over the last few years and when the american market opens in 2024 we will expect to see it rocket as we did with the skylines ect .
Bad points - usual wear on drivers side bolster, cracked NS fog lamp lens and usual stone chips associated with a 23 year old car like this.
If your in the market for a modified EVO 6 or perhaps a standard one with intentions of turning it into a high power car then you may want to consider buying one like this that has virtually brand new parts fitted saving you lots of money in the long run.
Personally i’ve loved the journey, I've enjoyed spending countless hours working on this car over the years and transforming it into the monster it is today however 13 years is a long time and I feel like now its complete and i’m in a different place in life now with work commitments and children its time to move on and let it go.
I’m happy to talk to you or answer any questions you have however I don’t have the time to be messed around, I may ask you to provide evidence of funds prior to viewing the car and let me make it crystal clear , nobody drives this car but me, I’ve covered a couple of hundred miles in it now @ 668hp and it scares the s**t out of me every time so until the money is in my bank I’m the only person who will be driving.
Many thanks
