If you're worried about the fuel consumption then I'm afraid you shouldn't run an Evo really.

It the insurance, servicing and repairs that really cost. With a service internal of 4500 miles it ends up very expensive if you use the car a decent amount.

Oh... and by SUPER EASY I meant that was the highest mpg I could get being very careful with my right foot and never spinning up the boost. Totally not possible with normal day-to-day driving. 20 mpg is about normal otherwise.

the best i ever got was 27 the whole way from stranrear to maidenhead. That was no boost at all and a constant 70mph.By this i mean no boost, thats no boost at all,no overtaking and again no boost. It normally did so little i wouldnt want to know

What is the point in seeing how many MPG you are going to get, you are buying one of the fasttess A to B CARS IN THE WORLD,and you want to know how many miles to the gallon you will get,the Evo is not the car for you.
I get about 4 mpg.

This is a fair question.

Some people simply don't know and cannot afford 20 MPG. I would much rather answer a few threads like this and unfortunately dissapoint people than have another 'Micka' incident.

Somebody bought a brand new 260 without doing any research at all, the running costs crippled him financially which means he needed to get rid of the car in a hurry, which means he got his pants pulled down over the price, crippling him even more.

Rather than take this as a lesson learned, he decided that this was all our fault and launched into a bit of a campaign. He still hangs about, making the odd random moronic comment.

Actually, he is quite amusing in a 'pet goldfish' kind of way :)
