I decided to refresh my Evo 5 first it was a full clean and re-spray underneath. As everyone knows how a hard job it is but defiantly worth it. I decided to change all the bushes to genuine group N but when I put it on the ramp I noticed she was looking a little scabby underneath so the story begins lol. Here are some of the pics when we dropped the power train out.

Looking good so far! It’s a lot of work but worth the effort and expense in the end for sure.

Cheers, yeah it has escalated a hit lol, I am using genuine bits where I can, most expensive CV boots I have ever had lol. I'll be aiming for around 450hp
Looking much better. How long has it taken to get this far?

Rebuilding of the driveshafts has started, bit of a ball ache to do but it will be worth it in the end. If anyone has rear outer CV's for a 5 gsr that they want to sell let me know. The last owner wrecked the threads of the ones I have.

i always enjoy looking at these types of threads.

Cheers,

yeah when it’s done it will be mega, just seems daunting at the moment. Time is the biggest killer for me at the moment but I am not willing to compromise on anything so it’s slowly moving along.

Some more progress made, all 4 hubs built back up with fresh bearings and brake backing plates.
