Hope someone can help me here,

Problem with an EVO 2

idles at 1000rpm on cold start, then 1500rpm when warm
no fluctations in idling

Could this be the idle stepper motor or the idle control valve

Generally on the Pulsar GTI-R's this is the Idle Control Valve any idea's anyone?

yep that sounds like idle stepper motor(idle control valve)
mines got a similar prob.

Its ounds like either the fast idle valve or the stepper motor , its a common problem , and if you use new bits its a problem that will cost abput £700 to fix (and i know , trust me! )
