Have evo 4 with whine from oil pump area, louder when cold. Anybody have any ideas?
Have run engine without alternator belt on and are certain whine is coming from behind oil pump pulley. thanks

I have this sound too.
I just changed the oil to another brand and amp; after the change the noise appeared.
Maybe unconnected but im trying that first.

Yeah, best cure is certainly a good run around the dales, gets the oil flowing better you see
