I'm seriously thinking about ditching the power steering pump on my evo 2 when the rebuilt engine goes back in.
My plan would be to replace the engine driven one with an electric one (from say a saxo or peugeot 307) and am wondering what is required.
Does anyone know enough about them to tell me what's needed?
Is it just a simple case of wiring the pump up after its plumbed into the p/s rack?

I did this on my subaru using a saxo pump.

simple power supply from a switched ignition relay and thats it.

Plumming wasn't so easy.

Better to get the type with the remote reservoir.

I didn't like the noise and the feel and ended up ditching it.

plus occasionally it struggled to deliver pressure when trying to park.
