Is that story about the ecu reset coming from believable sources?
I've read on some topics that you have to disconnect the battery negative for a few minutes and then let the car idle for 15 minutes.

Thats a long time and I would be sure that it works!

Also what difference do you have once you reset the ecu? Is it for different fuel use or for grommet modifications?

As per work shop manual.
you only have to disconnect - terminal for about 10 seconds or more

To Reset the ecu just disconnect the battery and leave disconnected for about 15 mins. This procedure will also reset the ETACS ECU too.

Don't run the car with the battery disconnected !
