Hi guys a mate of mine runs the Galant VR4 for Rallying here in the I.O.M and the ECU has Magnetti Marrelli stamped on it and is chipped, is this what other VR4's have ? if not anyone know who's best at altering the chip inside it ?
many thanks in advance

best option for a chip change in your vr4 is 'Gizzmo' based in New Zealand
- they'll do one to any/your particulalrly requirements and ship in a few days
...a number of evo1-3 owners on here are using these with good success

note: these are not re-programmable or re-mappable once fitted

have a look at their web-site here:

VR4 ecu

smithy

Its probably an after market ECU, are there any model no's etc on casing, if so let me know

It could just be a version of a Cosworth ECU. Marelli, Weber and others are all the same company. I have some contacts, may be able to advise further

Cheers fella, on the magnetti marelli sticker it's got IAW048/P8
Then a seperate small silver sticker with P8ROM/NO.40 on it anad then someone has wrote in pen on the casing "Rom mitsi 3 fitted"

So it's safe to assume that it's not an ECU that's supplied as an OEM for this model, i guess ;)
many thanks guys
