At least I hope it is http://www.ltregister.force9.co.uk/graphics/Happy.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| middle >
I want to get the tracking checked on my Lancer Evo I, but of course no-one knows what the toe-in/out should be.
An educated guess could be made but I'd prefer it was correct.

Anyone know what it should be ?
Or can anyone point me to someone who will know.

Thanks in advance.

Tony,

I should know this cos I set mine up not so long ago....................but I can't remember!!!

Ask Tony Cox at Coordsport - he knows off the top of his head.

I can recommend Micheldever Tyres in Hampshire, they had all the settings on thier wizzy laser tracking system, car now handles like a beaut. and no tramlining!

Thanks all.
Hampshires a bit far for me I'm afraid (in fact if my tracking's out I'd probably need new tyres by the time I get there) http://www.ltregister.force9.co.uk/graphics/Happy.gif border|EQU| 0 align|EQU| middle >
I tried coordsport and the chap gave me a full set of tracking and camber settings from front to rear (for the road).
Very useful.
Just got to persuade the tracking place to set it up correctly !
Just a thought, but how about a FAQ for lancer owners on the web page. Must be all sorts of stuff like this that new owners like me need.

Good idea. If you could email the settings to us we will find a spot on the site for them.

That goes for anyone with useful info on Lancers! Don't be shy!

Why not post the setting here for the time being? I certainly would like to know as I have an Evo I as well.

Ok, the guy at Co-ordsport gave me:
0-2mm Toe IN front (Equal) with 1-1.5 degree neg camber.
1-2mm Toe IN rear, with 1/4-3/4 neg camber.
He also said try 2mm Toe IN rear and 2mm Toe IN front to make it very nice to turn in.

Not tried that yet, a bit beyond the tyre place I think.
Be careful they do it right. I took mine back after they adjusted it becuase they had set it up to run parallel front-rear, but done it by adjusting 1 track-rod end more than the other. You can check by centring your wheel and seeing if you have the same number of turns lock to lock in both left and right directions (just count 'em). If you get 1.5 turns to the left and 1.75 turns to the right (for example) it is not right. The gauge may say it is at the tyre place but it 'aint. They got to centre the rack and adjust them evenly.
You might feel a pain, but its a bloody high-performace car, youve paid a lot of money for good handling so don't let anyone bodge it for you, its not a cortina.
