As above really,

Will Evo 9 Bilstein Shocks/springs fit onto an Evo 6 as a direct replacement?

If they do fit are they much better than the standard Evo 6 set-up?

Comments please.

Someone said about a spacer washer being need, 3mm I think.

But the bigger question are they much better than the standard E6 setup?

One thing is for certain, the bump and rebound rates will not be set up for a VI. With the later cars being heavier, stock suspension from a IX will have been calibrated against that cars weight.

There are 2 things needed to make the 9 suspension fit a 6.

First of all, the 2 bolts at the bottom are wider on the 9, so you need an adaption there.

Secondly, the knuckle is thinner on the 6, so you need spacer plates each side of it.

Other than that you should be fine.

Why not just go for a set of coilovers for the 6 though? They will be better than the 9 setup, and bolt straight on.

You will need a 2mm spacer on either side of the knuckle, dill out the two hole on the knuckle, same dia as the bolts use on the later evo & use the later evo two camber bolts top & bottom. If you want to keep the same setting( -1 / -2 )

The bolts are about 10pound ea from mist dealer.
