Just wondering if the MR range of E8 are worth the extra cash over the earlier e8 fq's eg fq300/330 :confused: obviously their slightly newer but is their any real differences between them that would make the MR's a better car?
Checking out the specs in the buyers guide the earlier fq's are lighter and slightly quicker even with the Mr's alloy roof, doors bars etc :confused:

Not looking for a big row over which is better as I would expect the later cars to be better but just wondering if they are worth the extra £££'s over the earlier cars preferably from people who have owned both so have the experience to comment ;)
Eg the fq300's are now down as low £17k where the MR's are in the starting around the £22k mark although seen some go on ebay at £20k now.

I bought my 330 over the mr340 because I couldn't tell the difference in the performance at all and that was after a good hour test drive in both, the ride on the 330 felt better in my opinion, I wanted a colour that stood out and I thought the grey was a bit dull, and it was £8k cheaper. Plus no interest trade in on my P1 against the MR, reasonable interest on the 330.

That was 9 months ago and haven;t regretted it for a second. But I really wanted a yellow car and so the 330 was the perfect fit. Haven't been tempted at all to swop, even though the opinion was there thru the same dealer who sold be the 330.
