The gentleman on EvoM is EvoDave, and he can modify almost any headlight and/or tailight any way that you want, but he does it on a core-exchange type basis.

JDM MR, color-matched, etc.

The duct that he is working on will be very similar to your setup, I believe, and he's finishing it up now. He too is having the duct made in carbon fiber and he offers a lifetime warranty on the sealant that he uses when he closes the lights back up.

I'm sure it would be very difficult for you guys in the UK to have it do your lights, but he does great work. :)

I really love this setup.

I have been waiting on Evodave to have his ready and available but I might as well do this myself.

Would you mind telling me where on Revotec I can find the air duct, I searched there but was unable to find it.

btw I tried sending you a pm but your pm quota was full :)

Yea, I've spoken to this guy on evolutionm, nice guy and pretty reasonable rates considering...... only problem is sending them to the US means you'll be without them for a few weeks!

Nice job! Shame it couldn't have had clear tubing put in the actual light with flexihose on the end for the engine bay to adjust the angle.

can you please write a small how to guide? I have a spare headlight that i can use. Is it the 64mm revotec hose? How did you make that carbon bit thats on the headlight? custom made I guess

Do you absolutely need to take the light apart? how did you seal the area around the carbon bit and the lense?

thanks

Ok m8 that aside will it pass an mot and how much does it affect overall headlight beam have u done this mod
its on my To Do list.
however, there are many on here that have, and I'm certain that knowing how crap Evo lights are in the first place, that if this mod affected the light output, they would return them to standard.
Also, noones gonna refirt a spare set of lights to pass an MOT, so yes, they'll pass.

but look at the 3rd pic... this is all you spray, not the actual reflector.

You're asking the same question CG has answered.
You're not doing anything to any of the beams by painting the surround this way.
You can paint the reflectors for the indicator and sidelights too, and they will still pass the MOT, but they're not as bright.
