Hi Stu
What colour is yours? My is red.
Mine passenger side stop working as well.
I bought a FPR GT3 mirror to replace it, but I don't really like it!
Maybe cheaper to buy the whole set and split it. :smthumbup
Cheers

Well received it today, swapped the coloured covers over as my original was in better condition (thanks [email protected] for pointing out that can be done :smthumbup ) and refitted, all in the space of 15 mins, easy enough :)

but its slower to close and open than the passengers side, which I noticed the same for my original before it failed :wallbang:  so time will tell if its anygood

Do you know what's been failing on these? My passenger side is intermittent so looks to be the wiring breaking as the mirror folds.

Maybe repairable, and cheaper than a new unit as it looks to be a common problem!

mine went with a clunk then wouldnt hold in position, so at speed the wind folded the mirror in, so guess mine was a gearbox fault

There was a strip and fix guide on here but for the life of me I can't fint it now mines packed in!!
Its the gearbox that goes apparently and the guide got you to it.
it was a guide to strip, but there was no answer to fix in the end

The replacement units we fit are all slower than OE, they must have geared them lower is my guess?

We are putting quite a few of these mirrors on sales cars so are used to seeing the difference in speed!

My understanding from Chris is that they can't easily be repaired. I myself haven't stripped and rebuilt one so can't comment.
