My drivers side front speaker has stopped working, or it does work when it wants to. Will I have to remove the door trim to inspect the connections ? If so, is there anything I should watch out for when removing.

I removed one on my old Corrado, but they never seem to go back as good as they come out.

Tar,

Daz

Hello Daz
Firstly, this is probably the easiest door panel to remove in the history of door panel removals.Remove the screw from the door handle surround and remove it. Remove the screw from the bottom of the window switches holder. To remove the holder get your finger nails under it and pull it upwards. Remove the little black plastic cover from the screw near the door mirror [ this is like a number plate screw cover, it just pops up ] then remove the screw. After all that, get hold of the door panel with both hands at a convenient point and pull. Dont be frightened of it because the clips are very good and are secured well into the door panel itself. Its not like the cardboard panels of the mk 2 escort. Fitting is a reversal of removal. Hopes this helps. Eagards, SIMON.
