Sounds out right for that lot.
You just beat me to it mate. Definitely send PH an email advising them of the situation :smthumbupMight be an idea to inform Pistonheads?
I can't stand scammers! Unfortunately the motor trade has one too many of em'.:shake::thumbdown:thumbdownYou just beat me to it mate. Definitely send PH an email advising them of the situation :smthumbup
Jami, If it was me i would be booking a viewing for the car again and getting my money back they scammed from youand a little extra for my troubles!
Definitely do this, just for the amusement factor.Go down, view it, rip the steering wheel off or the spoiler and say that makes it quits :smthumbup
If you bought it private then that's your hard luck, but if Max Performance are selling it without making clear it's a cat c write off then that's an offense. I mean you *could* inform pistonheadshttp://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2555874.htm
The car in the link was owned by myself and to be honest was clean and reliable unfortunatley i paid £8750 six months ago for it and was unaware it was a cat C vehicle i also paid out for a cam belt service last year.
The spec listed is total rubbish made up buy the cowboys who bought it from me for 5 thousand, i priced it as saw fit to move it on.. unfortunatly i never got £5000 as the extra money £200 by bank transfer never turned up and also the cash they left was a £80 light as with my back turned they distracted my lady and helped themselves. Max performance ltd :thumbdown
They should tell you without you having to ask. They don't have to say in the advert I guess, but if you went to view/buy they'd have to tell you at some point. An ethical trader will state ASAP up front it was a write off to save wasting everyone's time. The spec list on that ad is from a different car i've seen for sale recently and u can see its not correct for the car from the pics.....
I was under the impression that they didn't have to say in the advert if its Cat c/d but if u ask them and they tell u its a straight car when its not then its against the law, some sort of fraud.....
They've been know to sell Cat c/d cars before.
