Having took apart my transfer box, I have found the bearing connecting the box to the prop shaft has collapsed and caused the pinion to grind on the crown (I think that is what it is called, the bigger wheel inside). The big wheel is fine but the small wheel had been ground smooth!! Would I be better to buy a full box or can these parts be replaced?

You can buy the crown & pinion wheel which is the part ure talking about for around £500. A 2nd hand box could set u back at least £700. There is a link to FQ performance under "transfer box rebuild" in this section. They do full rebuild for around £800 including the CWP:smthumbup
