Hi All,

After spending many many £££'s this year and promising not to revisit Gaz up at CPP, the inevitable has happened.. Blown the entire differential apart :smthumbdo

As you can see its a 5 GSR (not a orange flatbed) only used as a road car, long term want no more than 500bhp at the crank.

So the question being do i replace with a AYC or change to a slip diff from a RS?

At that power AYC is fine. Just get a good condition one to replace what you broke.

if you are going with AYC again, id be paying a little more for 1 off an 8 or 9

But as I have already fitted an RS diff to do away with the worry of AYC, and only running approx 400, my choice was RS

AYC for me find a good one out of a later car ,there handy money and with the cash saves spend it on tyres and petrol and drive the thing

Agree with that, my RS conversion was done years ago when AYC pumps werent repairable

Update

Pictures show the damage I managed to do .. However pleased to say it is now up at CPP for a fresh RS Diff off a evo 9 :naughty:
