ahemm, my APEXi N1 catback exhaust will arrive on 14th October and not too sure what's the best/recommended size for the decat pipe?! *either using stainless-steel or galvanised-steel material* some says 2.5 to retain some amount of backpressure (thus improves low-end), others' say 3 is best for whatever reason!! which is which now?! i'm bloody confused or should i just keep the OE cat-converter?! the downpipe is OE but will later drill a hole near the top flange to accomodate the EGT probe, is this location ok?!

Re:decat pipe size 2.5

3 in fitted from Turbo back. ie Magnex 3in down pipe Magnex 3in CAT pipe, and Blitz full system. It works fine. Loses a little low down grunt, but gains a lot of top end power. Get occasional fuel cut at about 6k RPM (gromet removed) instead of the usual 3k RPM since fitting the exhaust. ie its making more boost higher up the rev range. You'll be shocked how crap the standard system is when you get it off the car. Best of all is that it sounds awsome.

Re:decat pipe size 2.5

Three inch , the exhaust on a turbo car can't b 2 big :)

Back pressure is not wanted , it indicates restriction , not good.
