Next week we're going from Perth along the A85 to Crainlarich and on to Oban. I can't locate any Optimax on the way - does anyone know of other 97-98 octane stations in the area? I'm up in Dumfries and Galloway fairly regularly and I've never had problems there - do I need to pack a bootload of octane booster if I venture further North?

tell me about it mate i made a trip 12 miles to my local optimax station last week only to find out they aint shell anymore supposedly shell dont want small stations nowadays only bigger ones. now my nearest optimax station is 25 miles away

You are right there mate ,was working in Oban couldn’t find any Optimax or even BP Ultimate

Which is a real ****er because the roads leading into Oban are just perfect for the EVO

there an esso garage on the car mile as you come out of perth
nearest shell garage is in blairgowrie
you can get to Blairgowrie direct from Perth then cut back to Dunkeld cross A9 onto Creif road which then takes you onto Crianlarigh
good run good roads.......
