HI.
Can anyone tell me if its possible to 'bench set ' a dawes device before fitting on the car ??

Tried it at work and all looks ok, (using pressure gauge where actuator would be) but unsure if you have to add the standard boost pressure to operate the actuator, onto the operating pressure to open the dawes?? if that makes sense.

OR.... do I just set the releif pressure at 1.2 -1.4 bar.

Best way to set a Dawes is to set it up on the car with a boost gauge. Back the Dawes Device off (should be set below 1 bar from maufacturer) but just to make sure back it off a turn or 2 then set it up using the boost gauge in the car.
Bad idea to use one without a boost gauge.
