Gonna hopefully lay my hands on one of these as a tide me over till i cn afford the Power FC and other bits in a few months time.

Just wondering if it is woth sticking on with my OEM fuel pump and ECU for a temp gain in boost and power. Current only mods are a Blitz SUS and H & S pipe with de-cat.

I believe 1.2 is the max to set it to w/o having ny probs.

Just wondering whether it wud be worth it or wud the gains not be noticeable???

cheers

personally I wouldn't bother till you have the ECU and pump, only because setting the Dawes may induce fuel cuts while you are setting it, or if you set it on the limit just before the cut, a cold morning or night might give fuel cuts.

If it is like my 5 also, I couldn't get much more than a bar boost before it fuel cut.

Cheers for that, boost meter on the turbo timer indicates a peak on my GSR of around 1.34 which obviosly varies with the o/s temp and seen a mx of 1.37. Not sure how accurate that is???

Never expeienced any cuts (fingers crossed and touching wood when i said that! :D )

I would have expected a fuel cut with that boost, and I think that is more boost than is recommended for a standard fuel pump, IIRC.

In that case, maybe i would fit the Dawes, just to turn the boost down untill i'd uprated the pump.

I've put a dawes device on mine for exactly the same reason.

As long as you have a boost gauge and set it up you should be fine.
Bear in mind that the DD does not adjust so in colder weather you may need to slacken the boost off a touch.
I'm running 1.3 bar with no fuel cuts, that's with decat, scorpion exhaust and apexi air filter.

Mine has only ever cut on a really cold day at just over 1.3 so I wound it down a bit so that I don't have to worry.
