nope if im giving it some i change about 7.000 rpm no point in going over that realy dave ;)

I find that my car peaks before 7000 and then tails off, so I tend to shift at around the 7 mark - it's impossible to get any more accurate on that stupid teeny tacho! That sound about right??

7,000 is only 600rpm higher than peak power and peak torque isn't much lower. Changing at 7,000rpm in top gears may see you drop just below peak torque. We'll see from Jason's WRC plot what's best.
