hey awesome. thats what i am planning on doing, a dash into an ex. same 4G63t block as the 8 valve, except the dash is 12 valve and has some valve timing mechanism. ECI single point injection, i'm guessing yours has a TC05 or 06 turbo?

probably came out of a gen III starion or square model eterna's but in fwd configuration.

where abouts are you in NZ?

Do you know Matt with the white EX1800?

I'm going to use VR4 pistons and rods in mine. It came with a Kelford cam already when I bought it I was lead to believe, but I doubt it's anything more than a street grind which is what I would want anyway. Planning on a TC06-16G turbo. Apart from that it will be pulled apart, crack tested and balance shafts removed. Will get new pipes and joiners etc. Replacement radiator and probably get the head polished and cleaned. Pod filter with box.

Long term I will look at ECU's, fueling, custom manifolds.

I am saving up for it and will probably go ahead with the rebuild this time next year.

I'm still seeking to get an EX1800 rolling body from Japan sometime along with LSD, brake and suspension from the car if possible.

Then there's paint, interior etc!

Got pics of your car?

yeah i know matt, he's getting alot of work done to his at the moment. why vr4 rods and pistons? ive already stripped mine down, it is a vr4 bottom end basicaly, the pistons even have the 4 flycuts at the top, the only problem im having is making an inlet manifold for mutipoint injection, as the dash head has 2 runners per cylinder on the inlet side. i have a tco6 turbo if your interested, in good condition, will need bearing kit as i have stripped it down for inspection of the exhaust wheel and shaft.
i also have a couple of tc05 turbos.

yeah, i have a tdo5h 16g evo turbo, i dont know weather to make up a custom exhaust manifold or atack the standard 1 with a die grinder to open it up, what did you do?
I didn' t want to pay for custom exhaust manifolds, so I opted to machine the exhaust housing of the standard turbo (TC05) so that the exhaust turbine from TD05 could fit right in. :coolsm:
